Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's firstborn hasn't even been alive for a full 24 hours, but the royal baby boy is already getting the attention of American royalty, Barack and Michelle Obama.

Michelle retweeted the official announcement of the birth of the baby-who was born Monday, May 6-adding: “Congratulations, Meghan and Harry! Barack and I are so thrilled for both of you and can't wait to meet him."

Photos of the history-making former president and forever First lLady Michelle holding the history-making, half-American, half-British biracial royal baby are something we can't wait to see-second only to pictures of the baby himself, which according to Harry aren't too far away.

Prince Harry made his first-ever public statement about the newborn on Monday as well. It's clear in the video just how overjoyed he is about the birth of his son.

"I'm very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy earlier this morning, a very healthy boy," Prince Harry said per CNN. "Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It's been the most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagine.”

The couple previously explained they weren't going to share the baby with the world on the day-of, as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did with their princes and princess, but that they would share information on their own time. This made it sound like we would be waiting weeks for a sneak peek at the baby, but it should only be a few days.

“I think we will be seeing you guys in probably two days time as planned as a family to be able to share it with you guys so everyone can see the baby,” Harry added.

The timeline is moving right along, meaning a Duke and Duchess of Sussex collab with the Obamas is right around the corner!

In addition to politicians, other celebrities have reached out to congratulate the couple. Markle's good friend and wedding makeup artist Daniel Martin shared the news on Instagram with the caption, "Proud #guncle," and Oscar de la Renta also sent well wishes on the 'gram.

British Prime Minister, Theresa May, and leader of Britain's Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, also congratulated the couple.
