Prince William and Kate Middleton Have (Finally!) Met Their Nephew, Baby Archie

Baby Archie may only be one week old, but already he's met some very important people: Queen Elizabeth II was introduced to her grandson just days after his birth, and Us Weekly reports that Princess Diana's sister, Lady Jane Fellowes, has also met the little one. Now, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's son has gotten two more very important visitors: Uncle William and Auntie Kate!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their acquaintance with the newest member of the royal family at Harry and Meghan's home of Frogmore Cottage on Tuesday, May 14. “It was a private visit,” a spokesperson for the house of Sussex confirmed to E! News.

The two couples came together after separate royal engagements for Kate, 37, at a World War II code-breaking center in Bletchley Park, and Harry, 34, who stopped by the Oxford's Children Hospital.

The meeting was one Kate and William told reporters they had been looking forward to. "We're absolutely thrilled, absolutely thrilled, and looking forward to seeing him in the next few days when he's quietened down," William, 36, said following Archie's birth. "I'm very pleased to welcome my own brother to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting!"

Kate concurred, adding, “We look forward to meeting him, and finding out what his name is going to be… I'm wishing them the best in these next few weeks. It's always a bit daunting the first time around."

Meghan, 37, and Harry welcomed their first child into the world on May 6. The royal dad, for one, is already deeply attached to his little bundle of joy: He reportedly talked with excitement about Archie to a fellow parent during a hospital visit earlier this week.

“He said he's getting used to the baby and how Archie has fitted into family life,” Amy Scullard told reporters per People. “He said he just feels part of the family and he can't imagine life without his son.”

Harry also received some solid parenting advice from a little girl in the crowd named Sinead, who made the prince a card that read, “When Archie is asleep don't put loud films on.”

Meghan, for her part, shared a sweet Mother's Day photo on Instagram of her cupping Archie's toes.

The Suits alum also raved about her baby boy during the couple's first photo call: “It's magic,” she said of her newborn. “It's pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I'm really happy.”
